It's less than three months since You Say. I Say. We Say. was first written on a piece of paper, in a frenzy of 101 possible names, and even less time than that since we sorted offices with the amazingly inspiring Aardman team.
It really does feel like we are growing something, nurturing it and learning along the way. The green shoots we see are the most rewarding thing we've ever experienced.
Setting up something we created from scratch was always a dream during a long commute in bumper-to-bumper traffic or when we were feeling we could do something differently when we were swimming against the tide.
It has been a fantastic funfair ride since deciding, over Christmas with family, that this was the time to create a beautiful and passionate effective agency to support clients we wanted to work for and we are honoured to be doing that already!
It's been hard work, but it's not escaped us how different the hard work feels when it is for yourself. There is always something to do, an extra mile to go, a growing To-Do list but the eagerness to achieve it all is boundless.
It is Easter Sunday, we've been for a (bracing) walk along one of our favourite harbours in Cornwall, a little place called Charlestown. We stopped for coffee and cake in a new cafe Charlie's Boathouse, run by family friends. It's going to have a fabulous first season. We've been vintage china foraging in Fowey and we're off to St Ives tomorrow for seafood. This 'enforced' time to stop has given us time away to reflect on how far we have come in less than three months and the feeling of pride and appreciation is like a warm enveloping hug against the chilling sea winds.
We've got some brilliant new clients, which we will tell you about in future blogs, they're going to keep us busy for a few months and we're honing our offer, learning all the time.
Here's to the next three months, considering how far we have come since January we are so excited to think where we'll be in another three. The sky really is the limit!
